In 2016 we met with David Ovendale, the CEO from TOP 10 Holiday Parks. He outlined his vision and challenges that the business faced. One of the main struggles was the website itself. It had become dated and was underperforming, caused by significant changes in technology and customer expectations.
The booking process was a particular frustration. A more competitive marketplace needed a modern website and fast, safe, easy to use booking engine. David wanted to grow the book direct revenue for TOP 10 to improve sales margins and to provide a better booking process for customers.
We initially analysed the existing customer journeys to highlight the main bottlenecks. Together with the TOP 10 team we reviewed the goals, budgets and timescales to produce a website build strategy. During the planning phase we covered the usual topics such as booking pages, number of clicks to book and menu designs but we also added our strategic insights to show David a roadmap to continue growing the book direct strategy over the next few years.
Once the new website was built digital marketing initiatives kicked off – covering SEO & SEM. Driving new customers to the website was key to the overall book direct strategy. The new website quickly showed its value and over the last 4-5 years we have continually improved and upgraded to bigger features – allowing TOP 10 to stay competitive and usually ahead of the curve.
Today we even collaborate on business processes to continually improve efficiency ensuring our clients future digital success. Through challenging times, we have successfully helped TOP 10 grow sales and maintain strong presence.
